New Book in Progress: Mac Productivity: from Novice to Power User

|

It’s official: I’ve started writing my very first book, a guide designed to bring computing novices up-to-speed using their Macs. It is a survey of a number of topics rather than a deep dive into an individual aspect of Mac-fu. There are plenty of resources that focus on a single topic, such as Tidbit’s Take Control series, but there really isn’t a comprehensive book that sets out to achieve what I want. I love helping beginners leverage the power of their computers, and I want to bring my experiences helping folks one-on-one to a wide audience.

I have a capable editor lined up to assist me with perfecting my prose. Hopefully can find a willing person with Apple writing chops to make sure that I’m using the correct terminology. This is my first project putting Ulysses through its paces, and I’m sure to have a lot to say about it once I have several thousand words in the app.

I never expected to have the time and resources to pursue my writing and coding dreams, but I’ve been getting a lot of support from folks in the community and am incredibly grateful for the encouragement! I’m excited to give back and get some helpful content out there!
