I thought it was time to come out with my second list of neglected apps. I covered these apps almost verbatim on the upcoming episode of This Developer’s Journey, but there will be at least one more post with some new items not from the podcast.

TextBar

TextBar lets you display arbitrary information from shell scripts in your menubar. It also can display of notifications if the information changes. Yes, it sounds very nerdy, but with a little effort, even regular folks can get value out of it.

Find Any File

Any Mac user needs Find Any File at some point. Let’s say you lost a file on your hard drive and Spotlight can’t pull up what you’re looking for. Find Any File searches files by name, and can really save your skin. Make sure to buy it off-app-store.

Fruit Juice

It’s not good for your Macbook to be plugged in all day. Fruit Juice makes sure you run your Macbook off battery for a sufficient amount of time.
