Software Ideas
I am filled with ideas and not enough time. I especially do not have time to learn Swift and the intricacies of OS X native UIs. Here are a couple concepts I've been mulling over. Feel free to crib them.
HGH Text Append
HGHTA allows for appending text to .txt, .taskpaper, .md files, and anything plain text. Also it can interact with third party APIs to append to shittier apps like Evernote and Notes.app. Maybe it can add text to propriety databases in 2Do or Omnifocus. It's Alfred/Launchbar/Quicksilver married with Drafts. It's text entry that is actionable and slick.
Global Auto Komplete
GAK allows for IDE style "Intellisense" for all applications. It is context-aware and completely configurable. It jumps through hoops to adhere to the current locked-down state of 10.11.
I am nagged by this idea as I bang out the Soundsmitten Outline Compiler. With GAK it can set code-completion in OmniOutliner. It can even apply syntax highlighting through OmniOutliner's rich text features.
Let's be more open (but not RMS)
Let's be real. We gotta eat. Open source is great, but in the end we have to sell units. But let's drop the ego. Let's drop playing our hands close. We may not free the source, but let's free our ideas.
